The Finnish LAKTA® series is a unique product family developed by Finlactic Ltd for the preservation of liquid feed for pigs. All products in the series are based on lactic acid and are free from formic acid. They are also non-volatile acids, making them pleasant to handle even in closed spaces, and they cause less corrosion to equipment.

The lactic acid that forms the basis of the product family directs the fermentation of liquid feed towards so-called good fermentation, reducing the presence of yeasts in liquid feed and strengthening the natural lactic acid bacteria population in liquid feed. This achieves numerous benefits in preservation, working conditions, and pig welfare. The LAKTA® series products act like probiotics, supporting and strengthening the natural lactic acid bacteria population in the pig’s digestive system.
