Welcome. We are Fermag, a small family-run business from Romania with deep roots in the world of dairy and zootechnical equipment, animal breeding and husbandry products. With decades of experience, we’re ready to embark on an exciting new journey. But this path wasn't always so clear or straightforward.
Our story began 30 years ago, in 1994, when Margit and István founded a family business to create a better, brighter future for their child and family. They tried various ventures along the way – from second-hand clothing and car sales to running a local bakery with a signature bread recipe. Despite their dedication, none of these early ventures felt like "the one." Then, in 2008, István discovered the potential of milk vending machines. He began distributing them, and by 2011, he had started designing and manufacturing his own, which led to the creation of the Fermag brand. As his work with dairy farmers grew, István became immersed in the world of milking technology. Soon, Fermag wasn’t just about milk vending machines – they began providing milking systems and installing specialized barn equipment. As Előd, now the company’s Managing Director, joined his father, they collaborated on numerous projects, working closely with small and medium-sized farms to help them remain competitive in an ever-evolving world. In 2015, they launched the their own online store, bringing Fermag’s high-quality products and services to farmers across Romania.
Today, Fermag proudly offers over 3,000 products for agricultural businesses throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Our products include electric fencing, milking systems, and much more. Fermag also supplies electric fencing solutions to one of Romania’s largest hardware store chains. Over the past decade, we have successfully outfitted numerous small and medium farms with milking systems, premium barn equipment, and automatic milk vending machines.
Our years of experience, our partnerships with farmers, and countless conversations have shown us the critical need for solutions that help producers sell their fresh, healthy, local products in the most efficient way possible.
