For over 65 years, the name Moorgut Kartzfehn has stood for the best quality, innovative research and comprehensive service in the field of turkey farming and breeding. Around 34 million hatching eggs are produced annually on our own parent stock farms. Around 20 million day-old turkey poults hatch in the Kartzfehn hatcheries every year. The company supplies a large proportion of these to German turkey farmers, and exports to countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and the Ukraine. In addition to poults, turkey hatching eggs are also sold, i. e. to Austria and Romania. Overall, the export share is around 50%. 

Kartzfehn employs around 500 people and is the largest independent turkey breeding company in Europe. With the “Kartzfehn Premium” brand, the company combines particularly high-quality turkey poults with a comprehensive range of services. Parent stocks, hatching and health monitoring go far beyond conventional quality standards. The technical service includes management, feeding, business evaluations, barn construction and equipment. In addition, seminars and specialist trips are regularly organized for Kartzfehner customers.
