“The objective of the Wagyu Verband Deutschland e.V. as an interest group is to establish an outstanding breeding platform for the Wagyu breed and to offer its members added value in breeding and marketing.”
First and foremost, the Wagyu Association is responsible for working with its members to achieve and develop the breed's breeding goals in their daily work with the animals.
It is particularly important to have as broad a genetic basis as possible, which can then be used to produce good meat on a tested basis. German breeders have set themselves the goal of taking animal welfare aspects into account as far as possible in both husbandry and slaughter.
