An often-heard motto is ‘getting it right from the start’. When applying that to piglets, it basically means that the red carpet should be rolled out even before birth. After all, if their mothers had everything they needed in terms of nutrition, health and welfare, the care they can give to their offspring is top-notch quality as well.
