Product Description:Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors. Benazepril hydrochloride is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed in vivo to benazepril. Benazepril inhibits the function of Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), thereby preventing the conversion of angiotensin I (inactive) to angiotensin II (active). "Benazepril hydrochloride tablets reduced all angiotensin II-mediated effects, including arterial and venous vasoconstriction, and renal water and sodium retention and reabsorption." In addition, it can also reduce symptoms such as vasoconstriction and sodium retention mediated by the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system by inhibiting it. Therefore, benazepril hydrochloride has the effect of lowering blood pressure and reducing cardiac load in dogs with heart failure, improving clinical symptoms (such as relieving cough, etc.), and prolonging the life span of dogs with heart failure.
