Innovative solution for efficiency and sustainability in pig farming
We have developed the ground-breaking Low Energy Concept PLUS to offer farmers a comprehensive total solution for pig houses. The ‘PLUS’ in this concept stands for the integration of independent power supply through energy consulting and photovoltaics. The pig housing systems included in the concept are characterised as one of the most innovative solutions on the market. They not only offer maximum animal welfare and an outstanding indoor climate, but also ensure a drastic reduction in energy consumption. The ingenious design also increases labour efficiency for the farm manager and leads to better daily weight gains for the pigs, which ultimately improves the profitability of the farm.
By taking the step into the world of solar energy, we are now also enabling farms to produce their own energy. We offer comprehensive energy advice and planning so that farmers can maximise self-consumption on their farms once the project is complete.
From idea to reality - complete solar solutions
Consultancy: Experts assess the customer's requirements on site and demonstrate the full potential of the system.
Planning: Simulation and design of the planned system. Implementation planning.
Assembly: Professional assembly and installation of the solar system.
Cleaning: Maximum efficiency and performance of the photovoltaic roof system thanks to the professional cleaning robot.
Components of the ATX Low Energy Concept PLUS
Note: Mechanical ventilation and air washers are also compatible with the concept and can be combined.
Key figures of the ATX Low Energy Concept PLUS
Up to 70% less power consumption thanks to the following components:-insulated piglet nests (ATX Thermonest, test winner)
-Tube windows instead of high-performance fans
-LED lights of the latest generation
Potential reimbursement sum / income PV system over 30 years:
-Very high return on investment
-Own consumption share of up to 50% possible
Ammonia reduction of up to 40% due to manure/urine separation in the barn
A test is currently underway to see whether it is possible to stabilise the separated urine using bacteria and thus produce a valuable urea fertiliser for the farm's own fields. Stabilising the urine prevents it from continuing to come into contact with the manure and transforming into urease. This means that no more ammonia is produced when it is mixed with the manure.
