In post-weaning piglets, profitable weaning is facilitated by spray dried plasma powder by improving performance and health. Positive effects are noticed on average daily gain, average daily feed intake, feed conversion ratio and mortality.

Spray dried plasma powder is also often used as an irreversible gelling agent in wet pet food applications. Besides an excellent gel formation, spray dried plasma powder has a high water binding and emulsifying capacity.
