At EuroTier 2026, Prof. Thomas Banhazi of Innotech Vision will present “Making the Invisible Visible: Continuous Environmental Intelligence for Livestock Farming” on the Expert Stage.
Environmental conditions inside livestock buildings are constantly changing. Temperature, humidity, airborne pollutants and ventilation can vary throughout the day, season and production cycle, while short-term peaks may be missed completely by conventional spot measurements.
The presentation will explore a simple but important idea: spot checks show a moment; continuous monitoring shows the pattern. Innotech_Enviro_Detect_EuroTier…
Thomas will introduce Enviro Detect, Innotech Vision's integrated environmental monitoring platform. The system continuously monitors parameters including temperature, humidity, CO₂, ammonia, dust, ventilation and associated environmental indicators, creating a multi-parameter picture of conditions inside livestock buildings. The presentation will also share results from field evaluation and commercial-farm monitoring. Data from livestock buildings demonstrate how relationships between parameters can reveal whether environmental measurements behave as expected. For example, higher CO₂ concentrations correspond with lower ventilation rates, while ammonia emissions vary strongly with ventilation – relationships that provide useful evidence that the system is capturing real environmental dynamics. But collecting data is only the beginning.
Through ADAMS – our Automated Data Analysis Management System, continuous measurements can be transformed into hourly and daily summaries, trends, risk periods and management information. Instead of simply asking what the average environmental condition was, producers can begin to see how often limits were exceeded, whether problems repeatedly occurred at particular times and where management intervention may help. The goal is to move from environmental measurement to environmental intelligence – providing practical information that can support better livestock-building management, animal health and welfare, worker safety and environmental stewardship.
