Strautmann expands the Primus range with the new Primus 900

At EuroTier 2026, Strautmann is presenting the new Primus 900, a high-performance addition to its product portfolio in the field of self-propelled feed mixers. The new Primus 900 series is available in three models and complements the existing Primus 600 generation at the top end of the range, particularly for large-scale operations and inter-farm use.

The new Primus 900 is available with capacities ranging from 22 to 30 m³ and combines high performance with efficient feed intake and robust mixing technology. Like the entire Primus range, the Primus 900 is equipped with the Smart Feed Cab and the Feed Control system, which is well established among customers.

Powerful and manoeuvrable

As standard, the Primus 900 features a three-axle chassis with 6-wheel steering and the option of crab steering. This ensures the machine remains extremely manoeuvrable even under demanding operating conditions and can be steered with precision. The hydraulic chassis, in combination with the tried-and-tested pendulum axle mount on the front axle, ensures additional driving comfort and optimal adaptation to varying ground conditions.

The Primus 900 is powered by a 6-cylinder FPT engine delivering 280 PS. This provides ample power to ensure high working speeds and productivity, even during intensive work periods.

High-performance cutter for rapid forage harvesting

During development, particular attention was paid to forage harvesting. The newly designed high-performance cutter enables the rapid and efficient harvesting of forage stalks up to a height of 5.70 metres. With a harvesting width of 2.40 metres, the cutter sets a new benchmark in the market.

With the Primus 900, Strautmann is further expanding its expertise in the field of self-propelled forage mixers and creating a performance-oriented solution for farms that wish to process large quantities of forage efficiently and reliably.

A pre-series machine will be introduced to the market in 2027. The official series launch will take place in the second quarter of 2028.

The new Strautmann Primus 900 will be unveiled to the public for the first time at EuroTier 2026.
