The Challenge. Calcium uptake depends on activated Vitamin D — and feed-bound conversion through the liver takes time the bird does not always have. Peak lay, late-cycle layers (wk 36+, 50–55 onward, 90–100+ wk genetics), broiler skeletal growth and breeder hatchability all push the hepatic hydroxylation step against its limit.
The Solution. Vital-D delivers a water-soluble form of pre-activated Vitamin D (25-OH-D3) directly through the drinking water, bypassing hepatic conversion entirely and going straight to renal activation. A native D3 baseline supports the long-term Vitamin D status of the flock; a targeted calcium top-up closes the equation when peak demand outpaces feed-based supply.
