Lutein is produced from marigold flower by extraction, saponification, embedding and antioxidant treatment. As a plant-derived pigment, it is widely used to enhance the color of egg yolks, broiler skin, shanks and aquatic animals. By adding lutein directly in the feed, the color of egg yolk and broiler can be greatly improved to achieve the desired golden color
