A New Approach to Sow Reproductive Management Inspired by Natural Boar Scent
ReproScent No.3 is a non-invasive, non-hormonal reproductive management solution utilizing boar-associated volatile compounds.
Developed from the concept of natural chemical communication between male and female pigs, ReproScent helps restore an olfactory component of boar-associated stimulation that may be limited in modern commercial swine production systems.
Through controlled spray application or continuous-release diffusers, ReproScent delivers boar-specific olfactory cues that support reproductive neuroendocrine responses, helping promote post-weaning estrus resumption, conception performance, and litter productivity.
By supporting estrus expression, ReproScent may also help farmers identify estrus signs and determine the appropriate timing for artificial insemination (AI).
01. Earlier Return to Estrus & Enhanced Estrus Expression
Supports timely post-weaning estrus resumption and clearer estrus expression, helping farmers monitor estrus signs and identify appropriate AI timing.
02. Improved Conception Rates
Supports natural reproductive responses through boar-specific olfactory stimulation, contributing to improved conception performance and reproductive efficiency.
03. Increased Litter Size
Supports improved total-born and live-born litter performance, contributing to greater reproductive productivity in commercial sow herds.
1.0 Day Shorter | Weaning-to-Estrus Interval
+11.0 Percentage Points | Conception Rate
+1.6 Piglets per Litter | Live-Born Litter Size
Spray Application: From weaning until the final artificial insemination, apply twice daily during routine feeding. Hold the spray approximately 25–30 cm from the sow's head and spray toward the snout area, avoiding direct application to the eyes, feed, and drinking water.
Solid Diffuser Application: Install protected wax-block diffusers on barn stanchions or pen structures to provide continuous exposure to boar-specific olfactory cues. Place the diffusers beyond the animals' direct reach to prevent licking or chewing.
ReproScent can be integrated into existing estrus detection and artificial-insemination management practices without exogenous reproductive hormone injections.
