Anders Beton was founded in Hoogstraten in 1964. Its founder, Korneel “Kees” van der Velden, was the son of a farmer who quickly came up with the innovative idea of producing concrete flooring for livestock housing. The concept proved highly successful and laid the foundations for what would grow into our leading company.
In 1998, Jan van der Velden, Kees’s son, decided to invest in a new site in Grobbendonk, located along the Albert Canal. This strategic move made it possible to increase production capacity and improve accessibility.
Our company grew to become the market leader in the production of concrete livestock flooring in Western Europe. In 2017, Dominique van der Velden, the founder’s grandson, took over the day-to-day management of the company. His fresh vision and dedication led to further growth and the expansion of our activities.
Today, in 2026, our company is fully centralised in Grobbendonk, where we have optimised our processes. In recent years, we have significantly broadened our product range. We successfully entered the infrastructure market with our permeable concrete paving slabs. In addition, we have achieved strong growth in the production of high-voltage substations.
