QUINOTONG
Cefquinome Sulfate Intramammary Infusion (Lactating Cow)
Composition
Each syringe (8g) contains: Cefquinome Sulfate 75mg.
Pharmacology
Cefquinome is a beta lactam antibiotic, which acts by inhibition of cell wall synthesis to achieve bactericidal effect; it has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and is stable against penicillinase and beta-lactamase. In vitro antibacterial tests have shown that QUINOTONG has good antibacterial effects on common pathogens such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and Arcanobacterium pyogenes that cause breast infections in cows.
Indications
QUINOTONG is mainly indicated for the treatment of clinical mastitis in the lactating dairy cow caused by the following cefquinome-susceptible microorganisms: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and Arcanobacterium pyogene.
Dosage and administration
By intramammary infusion: 8g per quarter after milking.
Treatment should be repeated at an interval of 12 hours for 3 consecutive doses.
Adverse reactions
It may cause allergic reactions, but very rare.
Precautions and warnings
1. Animals allergic to penicillin should avoid using with this product.
2. Personnel who suffer penicillin and cefalosporin allergy should avoid contact with this product.
3. Shake well before use.
4. Gently massage the breast after infusion to evenly disperse the medication in the breast pool.
Withdrawal period
Milk: 96 hours.

Do not store above 25℃, keep sealed (in disposable syringe).
