Each bolus contains

Tetramisole HCl 2000mg

Oxyclozanide 1400mg

Excipient q.s.

Oxyclozanide is bisphenolic compound active against adult liver flukes in Cattle. Following absorption this drug reaches highest concentrations in liver, kidney and intestines and is excreted as an active glucuronide metablite. Oxyclozanide is an uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation. Tetramisole hydrochloride is antinematodal drug with a broad spectrum activity against gastro-intestinal and lungworms. Tetramisole hydrochloride has a paralyzing action on nematodes, due to sustained muscle contraction.

Indications

TETRAOXYNIDE 3400 is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for use in the treatment and control of gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematodes infections and chronic fascioliasis in cattle.

- Gastrointestinal worm: Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Nematodirus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp.

- Lungworms: Dictyocaulus spp.

- Liver Flukes:-Fasciola Hepatica& Fasciola Gigantica.

Dosage & administration

One bolus per 150kg body weight and it is given by oral route.

Side effects

May cause occasional diarrhea, inappetence, frothing, salivation and respiratoty distress.

Muzzle-foaming or hyper salivation, excitement or trembling, lip-licking and head shaking. These effects are generally noted with higher than recommended doses or if is used concomitantly with carbacholine and organophosphates such as diazinon, etc. Symptoms generally subside within 2 hours.

Over dosage

There is good tolerance but keep the prescribed dose to avoid side effects.

Warnings

Do not treat animals during the first 45 days of pregnancy.

Do not give more than five boli at a time.

Withdrawal period

Meat: 28 days

Milk: 3 days

Presentation

4 Boli × 15 Blister/Box.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry place below 30℃, protect from light.

Validity

4 years.
