Today, the antidiarrheal properties of aluminosilicates are highly valued. These are natural or synthetic, inorganic chemical compounds in which anions composed of aluminium, silicon and oxygen occur. The main ingredient of Agro Stopper is kaolin.
In animal nutrition, the most commonly used are, among others, zeolite, vermiculite, perlite, saponite, kaolin, as well as aluminosilicates modified with copper ions. They have very beneficial physicochemical properties from the point of view of the physiology of digestion in the digestive tract. They exhibit strong sorption properties, reduce the surface tension of intestinal contents, support liver function by emulsifying fats, have the ability to bind bacterial toxins and mycotoxins, reduce the emission of toxic gases from litter, limit the bioaccumulation of toxic metals and supplement the diet with a number of macro- and micro-minerals. It is also possible to increase iron levels naturally by supplementing with aluminosilicates rich in this element.
