Hoof problems such as Mortellaro (digital dermatitis) are a primary cause of performance losses in dairy farming. Conventional solutions rely on toxic formalin, which painfully burns wounds. In this expert interview, we highlight a shift in paradigm: MS HoofClean Protect utilizes willow bark extract for biological tissue regeneration directly at the lesion site. When combined with the automated walk-through system MS AutoHoofClean, severe lesions dropped by over 90% in practical field tests - completely pain-free for the cow, 100% safe for the operator, and fully biodegradable.
