The automated analysis of vocalizations offers a promising, non-invasive approach for continuous monitoring of pigs and thereby enables improvements in animal welfare. The aim of this study is therefore the development and implementation of an AI-based management system that automatically analyzes the development of screams in real time and generates an alarm in the event of abnormalities. This allows farmers to detect stress situations—such as insufficient feed supply, animal-welfare-related behavioral abnormalities, or external disturbance factors—at an early stage and to take appropriate measures.
