About
The TA Luft specifies maximum nutrient excretion limits for pigs and poultry. To comply with these limits, N- and P-reduced diets are necessary. By reducing the nitrogen content in the diet beyond these limits, it is possible to reduce ammonia emissions through feeding. This talk provides an overview of the requirements, potential, and limitations of nutrient-reduced feeding. In the future, new EU-wide requirements regarding nutrient excretion and ammonia emissions under the IED will replace the current limits. In addition, the scope of application will be expanded, meaning that a larger number of farms will be required to comply with these requirements.
