FAQ

Eprinomectin is an abamectin used as a veterinary topical endectocide. It is a mixture of two chemical compounds, eprinomectin B1a and B1b. Eprinomectin is a highly effective, broad-spectrum, and low-residue veterinary anthelmintic drug that is the only broad-spectrum anthelmintic drug applied to lactating dairy cows without the need for milk abandonment and without the need for a rest period.
The results of kinetic studies showed that acetylaminoavermectin can be absorbed by a variety of routes, such as oral or percutaneous, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injection, with good efficacy and rapid distribution throughout the body. However, to date, there are only two commercial preparations of acetylaminoavermectin: pouring agent and injection. Among them, the application of pouring agent in virulent animals is more convenient; while although the bioavailability of injection is high, the injection site pain is obvious and the disturbance to animals is greater. It has been found that oral absorption is superior to transdermal absorption for the control of nematodes and arthropods that feed on blood or body fluids.
Eprinomectin has a good control effect in the control of internal and ectoparasites such as nematodes, hookworms, ascaris, helminths, insects and mites in various animals such as cattle, sheep, camels, and rabbits. It is mainly used for the treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes, itching mites and sarcoptic mange in livestock.
