CatiBovin – more performance from existing feed resources
In dairy cow feeding, performance is often secured through higher nutrient input: more crude protein, higher-quality protein feeds or additional minerals. But more input does not automatically mean greater efficiency. Part of the dietary nitrogen is not used for milk protein or metabolic processes, but converted into urea and excreted via milk and urine. This burdens the liver, reduces feed efficiency and contributes to ammonia emissions.
This is exactly where CatiBovin comes in: with a novel, patented mode of action. Instead of providing additional nutrients, CatiBovin supports the cow in absorbing and utilizing the nutrients already present in the feed more efficiently. Specific phytogenic active compounds activate TRP channels in the rumen, natural transport pathways at the site of nutrient absorption. As a result, calcium and nitrogen can be absorbed into the blood more efficiently and made available for key metabolic processes.
The difference compared with conventional feeding approaches: CatiBovin does not focus on putting “more into the cow”, but on better physiological utilization. More available nitrogen supports the formation of glutamine, an important building block for milk protein, metabolic stability and immune function. At the same time, less excess nitrogen needs to be converted into urea, which can help relieve the liver and metabolism.
For the farm, this means: 5–10% more milk from existing feed resources, improved nitrogen utilization, support for calcium balance and a contribution to resource-efficient milk production. CatiBovin is simply mixed into the TMR, can be used flexibly in different feeding concepts and brings modern transport physiology into practical dairy farming for the first time.
